OVERVIEW
This unit covers the the course of the First World War and its global impact. This is the Core Study for the HSC course and requires students to develop an understanding of this event in the context of source analysis. Students learn about a range of battles and individuals in the war, as well as the development of new war technologies.

Students are then required to respond to a 10 mark question that requires them to assess these sources for their usefulness and reliability. As the Core Unit, this is also the unit allows markers to moderate the results of Modern History Students across the state. Therefore, it is important to perform well.
